IRANIAN LIGHT CRUDE OIL

Iranian Light Crude Oil

Iranian Light crude oil is one of Iran’s primary export crude grades. It has a lower sulfur content and a higher API gravity compared to Iranian Heavy crude, making it more desirable for refineries that focus on producing high-value petroleum products.
Key Derivatives of Iranian Light Crude Oil
1. Gasoline (Petrol) – Due to its lower density and sulfur content, Iranian Light crude is an excellent feedstock for producing high-quality gasoline.
2. Diesel (Gasoil) – A significant portion of its refined output is diesel, which is widely used in transportation and industrial applications.
3. Jet Fuel (Aviation Kerosene) – Iranian Light crude produces a substantial amount of jet fuel, essential for the aviation industry.
4. Naphtha – A crucial petrochemical feedstock, naphtha from Iranian Light crude is used in the production of plastics, synthetic rubbers, and other chemicals.
5. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) – Propane and butane derived from this crude are used for cooking, heating, and as automotive fuel.
6. Kerosene – Used for heating and lighting in some regions, as well as in jet fuel production.
7. Lubricants and Base Oils – Some fractions are refined into lubricating oils used in machinery and vehicles.
