Sooroosh Crude Oil

Sooroosh crude oil is one of Iran’s crude oils produced from the Sooroosh oil field in the Persian Gulf. It has the following characteristics:
• API Gravity: 18.9 degrees
• Sulfur Content: 3.88%
• Kinematic Viscosity at 10°C: 1815 mm²/s
• Pour Point: -24°C
These properties indicate that Sooroosh crude is a heavy oil with a relatively high sulfur content.
Key Derivatives of Sooroosh Crude Oil
1. Gasoline – Used as fuel for vehicles.
2. Diesel (Gasoil) – A fuel for heavy vehicles and industrial machinery.
3. Fuel Oil (Mazut) – Used in power generation and heavy industries.
4. Jet Fuel (Kerosene) – Used for aviation.
5. Naphtha – A feedstock for petrochemical industries, producing plastics and chemicals.
6. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) – Includes propane and butane, used for heating, cooking, and automotive fuel.
7. Bitumen (Asphalt) – Used in road construction and paving.
